Yes. You can ring the mobile at the same time as a desk phone, or after a few seconds, or only outside office hours. All three are normal setups.

Will customers see my personal number?

Not if you place the call through the business app. Outbound calls show your business number. Dialling directly from the native phone app shows your personal one.

Can I separate business and personal calls on one phone?

Yes, and that is the main reason to use a business app rather than call forwarding. Business calls arrive in the app with its own ringtone and its own call history.

What happens after hours?

You decide. Common options are voicemail, a different greeting, forwarding to an on-call mobile, or an automated attendant that takes a message. Set the schedule once and it applies automatically.

Does call forwarding cost extra?

Forwarding within your own system is normally included. Forwarding to an external number can consume minutes on metered plans. International forwarding is almost always billed separately.
